Our Background

Recognising that many management teams are either not aware of or significantly underestimate the risks relating to End User Computing, Roger Cooper formed RJC Limited with a view to providing practical and pragmatic solutions that will allow its clients to bring their End User Computing under swift and effective control.

Roger’s experience spans 30 years of providing high quality internal audit services for financial institutions both in the Public and Private sectors.  He is a qualified Fellow of the Institute of Internal auditors (UK) and has also gained his Institute's Qualification in Computer Auditing (QiCA) with distinction.  His paper “Business Systems Audit - A Measured Approach”  can be viewed here.

Most of Roger’s career was spent within group audit departments where he specialised in the audit of general IT systems, IT Security and Business applications.  He also built up significant expertise in the subject of End User Computing control having developed internal audit EUC solutions as well as auditing EUC within business functions.

Roger was given responsibility for the Lloyds TSB Group Sarbanes Oxley project initiative relating to End User Computing in 2004.  As part of that role, he developed and implemented an approach that helped business units across the LTSB group towards successful SOX compliance: he was also instrumental in developing the Group’s EUC policy, standards and guidelines document.

Roger’s presentations at various conferences and seminars both in the UK and abroad on the subject of EUC Risk and Control have proved popular and thought provoking for many delegates, including members of senior management who may not have been aware of the significant risks run by their organisations where EUC has been deployed without sound controls in place.
